My friend Pedro did a great project. He did a massive data collection from the library at Chelsea College of art and design. Pedro’s output was print in form of books but as we talked about it afterwards we found that it had some cool potential to go digital as well, and since he saved the data in Excel it was quick for me to make XML and use it in Flash. I was showing this case in LFPUG as an example of scrolling using a IR proximity sensor but here you have a simple version for the browser. In this case a click on a book will do an image search on Google but it’s not hard to imagine that this could load data from somewhere else instead.
